What bear meat taste like. lol

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Very heavy and gamey from what I heard.

Kirito • 1 year ago

I wonder what happened to that bear after he got knocked out and unconscious

Maggot King • 1 year ago

I'm told it's gamy and tuff. Only wild stuff I've eaten is squirrel but if that's not considered gamy then I'm not ever looking towards bear meat XD.

LesK • 1 year ago

bear is VERY strong and not easy to cook. soaking it overnight in buttermilk does help to reduce the gameyness.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Thx for that cooking info.

Maggot King • 1 year ago

:o

Meroko Yui • 1 year ago

Why'd you eat squirrel? They contain the bubonic plague and like many rodents tend to carry disease. Not all rodents but like bats rats and mice squirrels aren't really something you want to handle.

Bear on the other hand is a predator so usually they've lower populations that it's preferable not to. Also predators tend to be tougher meat or not as tasty.

Zabe • 1 year ago

I ate a squirrel. It was yummy

Maggot King • 1 year ago

All you have to do is freeze and then cook your meat and you should be fine. I have a feeling that you've never processed an animal in your life. You need to touch grass and stop watching so much Parallel World Pharmacy. If there was a plague going on then I'd probably become an effing vegan as to avoid said virus/bacteria that is spreading by fleas/ticks. However there isn't so there's no need for such paranoia. Also rabbit tastes better than squirrel.

Meroko Yui • 1 year ago

Plagues aren't necessarily spread to all animals even if one animal has it and the phrase touch grass is as dumb asf of an expression that could be. Not only the bubonic plague enjoy your parasites. LoL. Such a stupid retort. Not all meats are safe and some are really dumb to eat as well like Squirrel. Many rodents not including squirrel alone contain food based pathogens. Why don't you go drink river water without a filter as well. It's not about getting out or an anime it's actually about being smart and knowing the effects of things that are dangerous to eat. Which makes you look dumb for the defensive comment you made. I mean even if I went to university and had a life time dealing with the bush doesn't mean even a simple person without a clue shouldn't know this. Also the only thing you think is your preventing it by freezing. Freezing sure stops various microbes while while at 0 temperature but that doesn't prevent everything. Example you can't stop E-coli with freezing. While the bubonic plague is treatable modernly and not the threat it once was it is found in squirrels one of numerous diseases that really are why people shouldn't handle or eat them.

Bubonic plague is found in about every rodent. More common in some more then others like Rats Squirrels and Chipmunks compared to Rabbits which still can contain it but have much less cases where it's nearly never reported whereas it took to nearly recent years to acknowledge it in rabbits as well even with past claims they could never truly support. You can also get tularemia, typhus, and ringworm from eating squirrels. You can also die from Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease which can be found in squirrels. This is the same fatal illness you get from Mad Cow Disease. Essentially why it's not a normal food served up in regular restaurants on a daily basis is just plain obvious. The meat is not as safe as others to eat. You'd have to be desperate for hunger or stupid essentially to be eating it. It doesn't take a genius to know that even.

Maggot King • 1 year ago

I Freeze the meat, then I cook it to temperature. The black plague started from fleas biting a specific rat carrying a specific bacteria and the only place that still deals with such diseases is Africa really. So the BuBonIc PlAguE DoSeN'T OrIgInAtE FrOm SqUirrEls. Go touch some grass you paranoid weeb. Just stay away from the tall grass since you're so afraid of ticks and fleas. You might think your smart ass remarks are clever, but you in fact are yet another pampered little first world whelp who has never had to actually catch and kill for his own food let alone filter and or boil drinking water. Would I drink water from a river? NO, I would boil it and preferably filter it first, I'm not an incel like you m8 I've actually been outdoors and I'm not lying about it such as yourself. 😂 Typically you don't drink from rivers near towns and cities because they're the most likely places for chemical contamination in my area. However rivers usually aren't so toxic to the point that it would kill a person if they took a sip . The only thing You might need to worry about is eating the brains of a squirrel if your worry is disease. Do some more research before you try spreading your paranoia just because you watched a couple anime that shivered your timbers. Sorry but not sorry about the wall of text. I just had to reply because you hadn't even slightly studied this issue to remotely act as an authoritarian on this subject. Your college degree means nothing against facts and research. I can pull stuff from the web with ease to prove my argument if this is route you really want to go down.

Meroko Yui • 1 year ago

Actually this is incorrect. Not that it didn't originate from fleas as it did and spread through rodents and typically spread to people there after which is a condition that nearly wiped out everyone in Europe in the middle ages. However you are an "incel" (your own hick words. I'll go with it.) and do enjoy eating contaminated meat. As for the bubonic plague you can easily still get it modernly through handling and eating rodents which doesn't make your statement any less convincing that people should be eating rodents like rats bats and squirrels. The only thing different is that modern medicines allow us to manage the bubonic plague with vitamins where as the middle ages did not have advanced medicine to deal with it. Furthermore freezing doesn't actually kill off a lot of organisms as much as it puts much bacteria and virus. Virus for starters are already dead and regardless that bacteria is less active inside the cold they shift to locations like your body instead which meet their conditions very well. Also like i stated freezing doesn't necessarily kill off it off generally which does make a person who thinks so look pretty stupid. Boiling is another case which can kill off a lot of organisms.

In contrary the bubonic plague effects people in first countries pretty easily too. The bubonic plague causes 80 percent of the infections in the US as example and is in most cases plague is from animal to person even though you can get it from fleas. https://www .vox.com/2015/9/9/9279775/bubonic-plague-black-death-fleas-rats

Furthermore it can still kill people even modernly like it did in Colarado a few years back which btw Squirrels were the big culprit and dealing with this generally means killing all the infected animals who've been contaminated by it often enough. So nice try you can actually get it anywhere and it can still have devastating effects in worst case scenarios and even create infections in least case scenarios. https://www .usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2021/07/23/colorado-plague-child-death-reported-diseased-animals-found/8073521002/
